I know Valentines Day was last month and White Day was yesterday but I can give my hair roses at anytime. Bet you didn't know that roses are good for your hair and skin? Roses are used to make lots of things including rose water which have great hair and beauty benefits. Let's see the hair benefits.

What is Rose water?

Rose water is a fragrant solution extracted from rose petals.  Its aroma is slightly less powerful than rose essential oil (rose otto). Since rosewater is edible, cooks have taken advantage of the sweet signature that rose water adds to food and beverages.

Hair Care

Benefits

1) Natural moisturizer that can restore and replenish the moisture in your hair.
2) Repair sun damaged hair: After spending a long day at the beach in the sun, your hair becomes dry, sun damaged and thristy. Recondition your hair with rosewater to repair the damage done by the sun and saltwater.

Sun Damage Hair treatment

Mix rose water with vitamin E and jojoba oil.

Instructions

1) Massage the mixture into your wet hair and leave in for about 20 minutes.
2) Rinse the solution out of your hair and shampoo and condition as usual.

Results

Softer and shiny hair

NB: This rose water treatment also works well on hair heat- damaged from blow dryers, curling irons and other appliance that depletes your hair of it's moisture.

Rose water Spritz

Rose water spritz is a good everyday mixture to add moisture to your hair. This will not only leave your hair feel soft and moisturized but will also increase the blood supply to the scalp thus promoting hair growth.

Rose water Spritz recipe

4-8 oz of rose water
1/3 cup aloe vera gel
1/3 cup coconut and soybean oil  (adjust aloe and oils as needed)
a few drops of  rosemary oil

Instruction

Pour the ingredients i a spray bottle and shake well.
Spray the spritz on your hair before styling or before going to bed.

NB: Rose water helps to reduce inflammation of the scalp. You can add rose water to your shampoo for added results. You will be left with extremely soft, well conditioned, moisturized and great smelling hair.
