Winter, winter, winter. It doesn’t matter how I wear my hair—loose or loc’d, my scalp become dry due to the cold weather as well as heating because both affect the amount of moisture in your hair and scalp. I needed a solution so, I made a scalp treatment from natural oils. I mixed 5 essential oil (tea tree oil, rosemary oil, virgin coconut oil, Castor oil and olive oil) and applied them to my scalp.
Recipe
The recipe depends on the condition of your scalp.2 tablespoon virgin coconut oil (main)
1 teaspoon rosemary oil (main)
1 tablespoon tea tree oil (main)
1 tablespoon Castor oil
1 tablespoon olive oil
NB: you don't need to use all the oils you can use one of the main oils and another or 2 main and another. You can mix them however you want just make sure that one of the main oil is in the mix.
Instructions
Mix the oils in a container and massage them into your scalp before bed. I also applied a warm towel to my hair for some moisture. I removed the towel and then applied a little virgin coconut oil to my ends and put on my silk head wrap. This will help to keep in the moisture in your hair. My scalp is now itch free. Yea me!!!!!!!!!!!
