Happy Monday Barbies and Kens. As I was getting excited that spring was here, this morning I woke up to snow. I don't care I am still in a spring frame of mind. Today's 60's glam look was inspired by a retro spirited thick bang hairstyle that I saw during Fashion Week on a Christian Dior model.
The only thing I took from this hairstyle was the bang. I tried to add my own little flavor to it. Here goes the pictures. Please feel free to rate the hairstyle (Well done, great, okay, good, needs work etc) and give your comments.
I think the look is timeless without too much effort. I added earth tone colors to my eyes and a light red shade to my lips. I know that for spring the colors are bright, but I wanted to try these colors and I am happy with the results.
I completed my look by wearing a gray shrug, gray leggings, flower earring and a pink and white belt.

The Swoop: Spring Hairstyle Part 1
Spring will be here soon and I am so excited. It is one of my favorite seasons. I have started to put together my hairstyles that I will be rocking. Today's inspiration came from a hairstyle I saw during Fashion Week. I call it the swoop.
Above is the hairstyle that I copied. I attempted the super sleek style that was shown at the Louis Vuitton Fashion Show. Here goes the pictures.
I tried to give multiple views of the hairstyle. What do you think? Is this a hairstyle you would wear during spring?
For this hairstyle, I opted for a soft yet elegant makeup. I made dramatic eyes and light red lips.
Tips: If your hair is not long enough, you can still do this hairstyle. For the bang you can use a beret. For the bun you can use one of the ballet hair nets to form your bun at the back.

Silk floral scarf and a clover
Winter winter go away come back never. Today was very cold and so I needed to protect my hair. Seeing that I am not able to cover my entire hair for work, I had to create a hairstyle that's protective and also cute. I opted to use my silk scarf as the focus of the hairstyle.
There are lots of style that I incorporated into this one hairstyle. I had a bang, a hump, twists and rolls.
After I did all that, I added my scarf to my hairstyle.
I completed my hairstyle by wearing a green cargo pants, orange tank and sweater (not photographed), multicolored beads and a pair of green clover earring.
How do you wear your hair during winter? Do you protect your hair? If yes, what do you do? If no, why not?

Night and Day
This hairstyle was a very quick and easy one and could be worn to work or out in the evening to the movies or dinner.
I was asked by one of my youTube subscriber to create a hairstyle with my curls that could be worn to work and then out in the evening in less than 5 minutes. She also wanted a hairstyle that could be worn with a long sleeve sweater dress. The above hairstyle is what I came up with. What do you think?
This is how I put the entire look together. I wore a gray tunic and orange leggings.

All I did was sweep a portion of my hair to the front and used the hair to make a bang and hold it n place with pins. It took me about 2 minutes.
As you can see my curls are still holding up and I am happy. This is how I put the entire look together. I wore a gray tunic and orange leggings.

Old School Glam
Today's hairstyle reminds me of an old school glamorous hairstyle. It was very simple to create.
You will need a hair tie, 1 rubber band, hair pins and a hair net/beanie.
First start by taking a section from the front of your hair and hold it in place with a rubber band. You will use it later to create your bang.
Take the back portion and put it in your hair net or beanie and hold it in place with your hair tie. You can also fasten the net if its too loose with hair pins.
To make your bang, take the front portion and comb it with your hands forward at an angle. Then, flip it over so that the hair is out of your face. You can tuck the ends under the hair net and fasten with pins.
This is what it should look like when you are done.

Boy Oh Boy!!!!!!!
This past weekend I showed my hair some love. It took me 2 days to wash, deep condition, hot oil, interlock and trim my locks. I have decided to wear my hair straight after so many years of wearing it crinkled. Change is good but lets see how long I'm gonna keep it.
I have to be experimenting with new hairstyles because my hair have less body now that it is straight. This hairstyle's inspiration came from the clothes that I was wearing at home.
First I started by doing 3 rows of flat twists on one side and hold them in place by hairpins. Next, I took three large portions from the front of my hair and hold each portion at the end with rubber bands.

Vua la the hairstyle.
Tried to thug out the look by wearing some boxers under my sweat pants, high tops, a large hoop and a tank top.
